New Delhi: The Ministry of Coal launched the public sale of coal mines for industrial mining beneath the second try of the 4th Tranche of CMSP Act & MMDR Act and the fifth Tranche of CMSP Act & MMDR Act on March 30, 2022.
On the first and 2nd day of the e-auction, cumulative 10 coal mines have been put up for public sale of which 5 coal mines have been CMSP coal mines and 5 coal mines have been MMDR coal mines. The small print of the coal mines are as beneath: –

Seven coal mines are absolutely explored coal mines and three coal mines are partially explored coal mines. The whole geological reserves for these 10 coal mines are 3,445.76 Million Tonnes. Cumulative Peak Fee Capability (PRC) for these coal mines is round 39.31 MTPA.
Beneath the industrial coal mining public sale course of a complete of 57 coal mines, together with the above 10 coal mines auctioned in Second Try of Tranche-4 and Tranche-5, have been efficiently auctioned until date with a complete cumulative PRC of 140.75 MTPA.
With operationalization of those mines non-public sector may have a big share in home coal manufacturing and dependency on imported coal will scale back. The industrial auctions will generate an enormous income to the federal government treasury and can assist in the social growth of inhabitants surrounding the coal bearing areas.
