Indonesia hosted a ceremony on 17 September 2023 to launch its ASEAN Sports activities Zone in Situ Cipondoh, Tangerang.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy for Youth Growth of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports activities Dr Raden Isnanta and representatives from related authorities companies in Banten Province and Tangerang Metropolis.
The ASEAN Sports activities Zones initiative is supported by China by the ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund with technical experience and gear procurement by China’s Sport Worldwide Co. Ltd.
ASEAN Secretariat, in cooperation with China, is endeavoring to advertise a wholesome life-style and lively ageing whereas strengthening cooperation in sports activities by the institution of ASEAN Sport Zones.
This initiative offers native communities with outside health gear in ASEAN Member States, with Cambodia and Indonesia chosen as pilot nations in mild of their chairmanship in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
The ASEAN Sport Zones aspire to host group sports activities actions that remember wholesome life-style and the spirit of commonality. It’s envisioned that the following launch of the sports activities zones will coincide with important events comparable to ASEAN Day and China Nationwide Health Day to exemplify harmonious collaboration and shared values among the many communities in each ASEAN and China.
