The 2001 romantic film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein is a cult classic among millennials that continues to hold its charm and craze among Bollywood enthusiasts.
The film, which starred Dia Mirza, R Madhavan, and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles, was produced by Vashu Bhagnani‘s Pooja Entertainment.
Now, reports suggest that it is set to make a comeback in theaters on Friday (August 30).
Jackky Bhagnani expressed excitement over the film’s re-release
Pooja Entertainment‘s Jackky Bhagnani expressed his excitement over the film’s re-release, calling it the “ultimate classic romance” of the 2000s.
He said, “This film holds a very special place in my heart, as it was my first project as an Assistant Director.”
Bhagnani further added, “Even today, the film enjoys immense popularity among the youth, with its beautiful melodies that continue to sound fresh, and we are really glad to bring this back to our audiences for them to enjoy.”

Deepshikha Deshmukh, talking about the film’s impact, said, “RHTDM remains one of Pooja Entertainment’s prized jewels, cherished across generations. Its re-release will bring back many memories for many people. It’s still on my playlist, a favorite album of all time.”
She fondly remembered attending the music session with her father and expressed how no one knew just how special this soundtrack would become.
Earlier, Madhavan, Mirza hinted at possible sequel with Instagram exchange
Adding to the excitement, Madhavan and Mirza—who played Maddy and Reena in the film—recently teased fans with a cryptic Instagram exchange hinting at a possible sequel to the film.
Madhavan shared a heartfelt message tagging Mirza, “@diamirzaofficial aka Reena, do you think the stars will align for us again? Maybe another Zara Zara moment?”
To which, Mirza replied, “Madhavan, only if Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana?”
