Odisha Cabinet approves extension of KALIA scheme for 3 years

Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: The Odisha Cupboard on Thursday  accepted the extension of the KALIA scheme for 3 extra years.

With a bid to augmenting farmers’ development and growth, the Cupboard accepted an estimated finances of Rs.6029.70 Crores for years 2024- 25 to 2026-27.

The state had earlier carried out a farmers’ welfare scheme KALIA (Krushak Help for Livelihood and Revenue Augmentation) from 2018-19. 

Apart from, the State had carried out KALIA Scholarship beneath the to make sure academic growth of the youngsters of KALIA beneficiaries to avail skilled/ technical training in several academic establishments.

The enterprise was meant to encourage kids of each small and marginal farmers, and landless farm households to pursue greater training. The social and monetary progress of the farm households is determined by the event of their kids by availing KALIA scholarship.

For the profit and bigger curiosity of the farmers of the State and to make sure the graceful buy of agricultural inputs, the discharge dates of the KALIA help could be additional superior than the above dates i.e. April 15 on-wards for the Kharif season and September 1 onwards for the Rabi season, as determined by the State Authorities every now and then.
