Odisha: Six-time MP quits BJD with a ‘heavy heart’

Six-time MP and BJD stalwart Bhartruhari Mahtab on Friday resigned from the first membership of the regional social gathering with a ‘heavy coronary heart’.

Mahatab, whose late father Harekrushna Mahatab, was State’s Chief Minister throughout early days of independence, is lauded throughout social gathering strains for informative parliamentary debates.

He was the recipient of the Excellent Parliamentarian Award 2017, Sansad Ratna Award 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 for his excellent efficiency in parliamentary debates.
