PNP urges large networks, leisure corporations to topic abilities to voluntary drug check
The Philippine Nationwide Police (PNP) inspired on Monday, Oct. 3, all employers within the leisure trade, together with large tv networks, to topic their actors to a drug check to make sure that their abilities will not be hooked into unlawful medication.
PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin issued the assertion as he backed the proposal of Cong. Robert Ace Barbers to topic these actors and people within the leisure trade to drug assessments following the arrest of actor Dominic Roco in an anti-illegal medication operation in Quezon Metropolis.
“We encourage the enormous networks, even the actors guild, to do that voluntarily to ensure that them to point out that they’re serving to in our marketing campaign towards unlawful medication,” stated Azurin.
He defined that if some employers require their staff and job candidates to bear a drug check, it also needs to be performed for actors.
“It might be included in job employment. It’s attainable and employers may try this as a requirement, particularly if these employers are advocating a drug-free Philippines,” stated Azurin.
“As actors, they need to be function fashions, particularly to the youth. So they need to be drug-free function fashions,” stated Azurin.
Earlier than the arrest of Roco, some actors and leisure trade personalities have been arrested earlier than for involvement in unlawful medication.
