Odisha Govt Declares Holidays For Its Employees On Polling Days

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha authorities on Thursday introduced particular holidays for its workers of their respective constituencies throughout the four-phased simultaneous Lok Sabha and meeting polls scheduled from Could 13.

The particular holidays had been introduced for the federal government workers to allow them to train their franchise.

The Income and Catastrophe Administration division issued a notification on this regard. “The federal government of Odisha has been happy to declare vacation for the staff of the state authorities places of work and magisterial courts (govt) on Could 13 (Monday), Could 20 (Monday), Could 25 (Saturday) and June1 (Saturday) for the places of work positioned inside the parliamentary constituencies and meeting segments,” the notification said.

As per schedule, 28 meeting segments and 4 Lok Sabha constituencies (Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Berhampur and Koraput) will go to ballot on Could 13 within the first section.

Equally, Bargarh, Sundergarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Aska MP constituencies together with 35 meeting seats coming below these segments will vote on Could 20.

Six parliamentary constituencies — Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri, and Bhubaneswar – will go to polls within the third section on Could 25. On the identical day, polling may even be held for 42 meeting constituencies coming below these LS seats.

Within the ultimate section, the remaining six constituencies — Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur – and the Meeting constituencies coming below these segments will vote on June 1.
