Odisha govt shifts 2 district Collectors as per ECI order

Bhubaneswar: The state authorities right this moment transferred collectors of two districts forward of the upcoming Lok Sabha and Meeting polls in Odisha.

The state authorities transferred Cuttack Collector Vineet Bhardwaj and Jagatsinghpur Collector Parul Patawari as per the path of the Election Fee of India (ECI) forward of the 2024 polls.

Bhardwaj, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has been appointed because the Director-cum-Further Secretary to Consuming Water & Sanitation and Panchayati Raj & Consuming Water division, mentioned a notification issued by the Basic Administration right this moment.

Patawari, a 2015-batch IAS officer, has been appointed because the State Mission Director, Odisha Schooling Programme Authority, Bhubaneswar, added the notification.

Puri Jagannath temple Further Chief Administrator Samartha Verma, a 2011-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Further Secretary to Works division.

Equally, Subhankar Mohapatra, a 2018-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Director, Rural Improvement, mentioned the notification.

The state authorities has appointed IAS officers Arindam Dakua and Anupam Saha because the Collectors of Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur respectively.

Dakua (2011 batch) was earlier working as Director-cum-Further Secretary, Consuming Water and Sanitation, with extra cost of State Mission Director, Odisha Livelihoods Mission.

Saha (2012 batch) was serving as State Mission Director, OSEPA, with extra cost of Member Secretary, Mo Faculty and Labour Commissioner, Odisha.

The ECI had earlier requested the state authorities to switch the collectors of Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur and 6 senior police officers forward of the dual polls in Odisha.

In a letter to Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, the ECI had requested the state authorities to switch the eight officers non-election associated posts.
