Western Odisha goes to see the sons of many veteran leaders on the battlefield of the 2024 Basic Elections. The events have given an opportunity to the sons to hold on the political legacy of their fathers this time in Nuapada, Kalahandi and Bolangir.
After senior Congress chief, Narasingha Mishra introduced his retirement from politics, the social gathering has fielded his son Samarendra Mishra as MLA candidate from the Bolangir Meeting seat. He had earlier contested because the social gathering’s MP candidate from the Bolangir LS seat.
Equally, five-time MLA Jogendra Behera’s son Nihar Ranjan Behera has been fielded by the BJD within the Losingha Meeting seat whereas veteran BJP chief and Kalahandi MP Basant Panda’s son Abhinandan Panda has been given an opportunity to attempt his political luck within the Nuapada Meeting seat to battle in opposition to BJD’s Rajendra Dholakia and Odisha Congress chief Sarat Pattanayak.
Congress chief Samarendra Mishra stated, “I’ve acquired an opportunity to hold ahead the event in Bolangir.”
BJP chief Abhinandan Panda stated,” We’ve labored for the folks. I’ve confidence that individuals will vote for the BJP.”
BJD chief Nihar Ranjan Behera stated, “My father was a five-time MLA and I’ve learnt rather a lot about politics. His previous supporters are right here and can come to our assist.”
After BJD veteran, AU Singhdeo retired from politics, his elder son and two-time MP, Kalikesh Singhdeo has been given a BJD ticket within the Bolangir Meeting seat. Kalikesh stated, “We’ll keep it up our improvement work and the BJD will win in Bolangir.”
Equally, Congress has fielded Sagar Das, the son of former Union Minister Bhakta Das, within the Bhawanipatana Meeting seat. He had additionally unsuccessfully contested in the identical seat in 2019.
Congress chief Sagar Das stated, “I’ll sustain my battle for the folks of Kalahandi.”
Elections to those Meeting seats might be held on June 3.
