Ganja smugglers from Bihar, bought 53 kgs of ganja from Odisha only to get arrested in Jharkhand

The police busted an inter-state gang of ganja smugglers on Tuesday-Wednesday, arresting 5 people and recovering 53 kgs of ganja value ₹8 lakh from them. 

Jamshedpur Metropolis SP Mukesh Lunayat addressed media individuals knowledgeable that there was a tip-off that six worldwide ganja smugglers from Odisha had been coming to the Mango bus stand on Tuesday.

A case has been registered below Sections 08/20/60 of the NDPS Act towards the 5 accused at Jamshedpur police station. Throughout interrogation, the accused disclosed that these ganja smugglers had purchased 53 kgs of ganja at Rs 3 lakh from Balangir in Odisha to promote it at completely different locations in Bihar at roughly Rs 8 lakh. 

 Now, Jamshedpur police is planning to launch search operations in Balangir to nab the producer and sellers in Odisha. 

Notably, ganja is extensively cultivated in Jharkhand and Bihar. Nevertheless, it’s out there at comparatively larger costs than Balangir in Odisha.
