IMD issues orange & yellow warnings for hailstorms, thunderstorms in Odisha


 At a time when a number of elements of Odisha are reeling beneath intense warmth wave circumstances, the India Meteorological Division (IMD) on Saturday predicted a drop in most temperature after 24 hours.

The IMD has additionally issued an orange warning for hailstorms in 5 Odisha districts. The alert has been issued for Angul, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Cuttack.

Other than this, a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning has additionally been issued by the IMD.

Yellow Warning: Warmth wave situation may be very prone to prevail at one or two locations over the districts of Angul, Nayagarh, Bolangir, Malkangiri, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Boudh.

Heat evening situation may be very prone to prevail at one or two locations over the districts of Bolangir, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Malkangiri.

Orange Warning: Hailstorm is prone to happen at one or two locations over the districts of Angul, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty floor wind pace reaching 40-50 KMPH may be very prone to happen at one or two locations over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Khordha, Boudh, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Nayagarh.

Day 3 (Legitimate from 0830 hrs IST of 08.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 09.04.2024)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall may be very prone to happen at one or two locations over the districts of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Kalahandi.

Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty floor wind pace reaching 30-40 KMPH may be very prone to happen at one or two locations over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati,Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri.
