Indian PhD pupil Cheistha Kochhar tragically killed in London biking accident. No arrest made but, investigation ongoing
An Indian pupil pursuing her PhD on the London Faculty of Economics was killed in a bicycle accident on March 19. Cheistha Kochhar, 33, who hailed from Gurgaon, died after being hit by a lorry whereas returning to her residence within the English capital.
The accident befell on Clerkenwell Highway, close to the junction with Farringdon Highway. Her husband was biking just a few meters forward of her when the incident occurred. Regardless of efforts from police and paramedics, Cheistha handed away on the scene, the Police said in a statement. The motive force of the lorry concerned, believed to be a rubbish automobile, cooperated with authorities throughout the investigation. No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.

The Bareilly-born Behavioural Strategist earned her Masters from the College of Chicago after learning at Ashoka College and Delhi College and finishing her education in Delhi and numerous Military colleges round India.
“She made her mark in all these establishments and continues to be remembered very fondly for her creativeness, spontaneity, compassion, helpfulness, smiling manner and but excelling in lecturers and co-curricular actions like debating, drawing and dramatics,” shared her father in his tribute to Cheistha.
